Until recently, our main activity was the cane molturation and cane sugar manufacturing, with a daily molture capacity of 1400 Tons. .
Nowadays, the annual production of sugar becomes limited by the quantity of cane that it is cultivated in the coastal areas of Malaga and Granada,
the only ones capable to grow cane thanks to their tropical micro-climate, since just some more kilometers toward the interior, the climate is completely continental.
This 2006 campaing has been the last one in Salobreña.
